James M. Higgins

James M. Higgins, 56, died Saturday, June 11, 2022 at his home in Brockton, after a short period of declining health. Born in Boston, he was raised and educated in Stoughton and was a 1983 graduate of Stoughton High School. He later attended Nursing School. In 1989, he married his high school sweetheart, Sandra L. Murphy and together they raised four beloved children. They have been residents of Brockton for over 20 years. He worked in Shipping and Receiving for many years, most recently for Amazon in Dedham and spent many years working for Radford in Randolph. He was a sports fan and enjoyed watching the Bruins and NASCAR. He also enjoyed spending time at Brant Rock in Marshfield, fishing and spending time with his family.

In addition to his wife, Jim is survived by his children, Justin J. Higgins and Joseph M. Higgins both of Brockton and Jenna L. Higgins of Abington. He was predeceased by his daughter Ashley L. Higgins, his parents, John Higgins and Jean (Simpson) Higgins and his stepmother Bonnie Titus Higgins. He was the grandfather of Justin J. Higgins, Jr. Jim was the brother of John Higgins of Taunton and the late Richard and Michael Higgins. He was the son in law of Frances Meadows of Stoughton and the brother-in-law of Patrick Murphy of Indiana, Cleveland Chesson of Florida, Wayne Chesson and Terri Miller, both of North Carolina and the late Jackie Hinkle. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
