James Constantine Zaros, 94, died Thursday, April 7, 2022 at his home in Naples, FL after a short period of declining health. He was the husband of the late Olymbia (Kyrias) Zaros and the longtime partner of Ann Hill of Stoughton. Born in Mesolongi, Greece, he was raised and educated in Greece. While serving in the Greek Navy, he came to the United States in the mid 1950's with NATO and was hired as a civilian contractor. He was a resident of Easton since 1980 and previously lived in Stoughton and was a longtime summer resident of East Falmouth. Mr. Zaros worked in the Electronics Industry for many years, mostly as the founder of four different companies; Datel Inc., Technology Distributors Inc. (TDI), Conversion Devices Inc. (CDI) and Micropower Direct, all started in Stoughton. Electronics were his passion. In his free time, he enjoyed reading, gardening, watching motor sports with his son Paul, and working on home improvement projects. He also enjoyed being surrounded by family and friends.
James was the father of Paul Zaros and his partner Martha Sands of Norton, and the late Dino Zaros. He was the grandfather of Stacy Zaros. He was the brother of Sophia M. Machaliotis of Greece and the late Nicholas Zaros and Antigone Coniaris, and is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visiting Hours will be held in the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 457 Oak St., Brockton on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 from 11:30AM-12:30PM followed by Funeral Services at 12:30 PM. Interment will take place at Melrose Cemetery, Brockton.
