Jane Frances (Sheehan) Hampe

Jane Frances (Sheehan) Hampe, 87, a lifelong resident of Stoughton, died unexpectedly at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston on Thursday, March 5, 2026. She was the wife of the late Carl G. Hampe. She was born in Norwood, daughter of the late Francis and Alice (Sheehan) Sheehan. She was a graduate of Stoughton High School, Class of 1956. Jane was an insurance clerk at Boston Mutual Life Insurance Company for over 20 years before retiring many years ago. She loved knitting and was a very talented seamstress, making many Halloween costumes for her children and grandchildren. She loved collecting beach glass with her sisters in Nahant and boating with her husband in Onset. She also loved taking care of her beloved home, reading, flower gardening, baking and her pets but her greatest joy was spending time with her family.

Jane was the mother of Linda J. Hampe of Stoughton, Karen A. Colleran and her husband Dennis of North Attleboro, Matthew J. Hampe of West Bridgewater and the late Mark S. Hampe and Michael J. Hampe. She was the grandmother of Jacqueline Andrews and her partner Edson Vargas, Sean Hampe and his wife Elise, Jennifer Decker and her wife Courtney, Megan Colleran, Tyler Hough, Dennis Colleran Jr. and his fiancée Julietta Ambartsoumian, Kelly Colleran and the late Sarah Hampe and the great-grandmother of Chandler and Elliott Decker. She was the sister of Denise Pizura of Mansfield and the late Francis Sheehan. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
