Janet P. (D'Angelo) Andrews

Janet P. (D'Angelo) Andrews, 76, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died peacefully at Brigham & Women's Hospital in Boston surrounded by her loving family after a 24-year battle with cancer. She was the wife of the late Ralph J. "Gus" Andrews, Jr. Daughter of the late Patrick A. and Lucy M. (Mauriello) D'Angelo, she was born in Boston and raised in North Quincy. Janet was a graduate of North Quincy High School, Class of 1962 and Boston State College. She resided in Stoughton for the past 47 years. Janet was a florist at several flower shops in the area, including Jacobson's Florist in Boston for 10 years. She also was a school teacher in Stoughton and Quincy for several years. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and loved going to their sporting events. Janet loved to end her conversations with family and friends with her words of wisdom, "Be Nice."

Janet is survived by her loving children, Michelle L. McInnis and her husband Billy of Maine, Mark J. Andrews and his longtime girlfriend Pamela Varner, Matthew J. Andrews and Melissa L. Freel and her husband Michael all of Stoughton. She was the loving "Nonni" of Erin, Megan, Michael, Cameron, Colby, Jake, Connor, Kylee, Abigale and Alanna. She was the sister of Lillian Clare and her late husband Jim of Sarasota, FL, Jack D'Angelo and his wife Jeanne of Sacramento, CA and Tom D'Angelo and his wife Renee of Wellington, FL. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Friday, August 6 at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10:30 AM. Visiting Hours Thursday from 4-7 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in Janet's name may be made to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, PO Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284-9168.
