Janet Mary (Armstrong) Kinan

Janet Mary (Armstrong) Kinan, age 82 passed away peacefully at Baypointe Care Center in Brockton on October 5, 2022. Daughter to the late Marguerite (Ledger) and Preston Armstrong, she was born and raised in Old Orchard Beach, Maine, and was a longtime resident of Stoughton. She was the wife to the late Albert P. Kinan for 61 loving years. She attended Old Orchard Beach High School, and then went on to business school in Portland Maine, where she was employed in the office of A&P Tea Company, and also worked for NeighborCare Medical in Braintree before retiring in 2006. Her and Al enjoyed vacationing in Old Orchard Beach and Las Vegas, along with their trips to many islands over the years. Janet was adored by all who knew her, and loved dearly by her family and friends.

She is survived by her children Albert J. Kinan of Biddeford, Maine, Vicki Kinan, Cheryl Laurie and her late husband Jeff and Joelle Kinan all of Stoughton, along with 5 grandchildren, Justin, Julie, Matthew, Jami, Sophia & her great grandchild Harley. She is also survived by her siblings, Donald Armstrong and his wife Nina of Wareham, Dale McElroy and her late husband David of Taunton and Gordon Armstrong of Old Orchard Beach. She also leaves behind her cousin Carol and her husband Walter Gillpatrick of Lakeville, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Private family services will be held, for both Janet and her husband Al at Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park Street, (Rt.27), Stoughton, MA. At a later date, there will be a memorial service for both Janet and Al in Old Orchard Beach. Interment will take place in Saco, Maine at Laurel Hill Cemetery. The family would like to thank Baypointe Rehab Center and Old Colony Hospice for their services and many years of care for Janet.
