Janice Pentz

Janice Pentz, 77, a longtime resident of Randolph, died peacefully at the Guardian Center in Brockton on Saturday, October 1, 2022 with her loving daughter by her side.  Daughter of the late Cecil and Viola (Muehlig) Pentz, she was born and raised in Stoughton.  She resided in Randolph for over 40 years.  Janice was a clerk at Roche Bros. Supermarket for 13 years before retiring in 2004.  She also worked at Bob’s Famous Foodmart in Stoughton for several years.  She enjoyed arts and crafts, fishing, boating, trips to Foxwoods and Cape Cod and taking Amtrak train rides to Florida.  The family would like to send out a big thank you to the nurses and staff from the Guardian Center and Beacon Hospice for their services the past 3 years for the loving care they all gave Janice.

 

Janice was the mother of Kim M. Fallon of Rockland and the late Susan Fallon.  She was the grandmother of Matthew, John and Jordan Fallon.  She was the stepmother of Mark Burgess and his wife Lisa, Scott Burgess and his wife Diane and Eric Burgess and his companion Lee and step-grandmother of Johnny B., Benjamin, James, Dakota, Bryan, Kimberly, Kim, Jacob, Kayla, Skylar, Madasyn and the late Nick Perna.  She was the sister of Beverly A. Barrett of Stoughton, Edward L. Pentz and his wife Diane of Easton and the late Roberta “Bobbie” Pentz and aunt of Jeannine, Angela and her companion Jeff, Sean, Taryn, Heather and her husband Kenny, Richie and his fiancée Kaylee, Elizabeth, Kristen, Kayla, Kai, E.C. and A.J. and his wife Crystal.  She was preceded in death by her longtime companion, Philip Burgess, as well as her former husbands, Daniel Fallon and John Hayes. 

 

A celebration of Janice’s life will be held at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Janice’s daughter, Susan Fallon, to Boston Children’s Hospital Trust, 401 Park Drive, Suite 602, Boston, MA 02215.
