Jean Marie (Gillooly) Hartman, 79, of Onset, Massachusetts, formerly of Easton, passed away peacefully on October 12, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Jeanie was the beloved wife of the late James Hartman, who passed on November 1, 2011. Together they built a beautiful life and raised four devoted children: the late James Hartman Jr. and his wife Jennifer of Easton, Christine Brennan and her husband Stephen of Onset, Catherine Barton and her husband Christopher of Dartmouth, and Michael and his wife Kristen Hartman of Fort Myers, Florida.
She was a proud and loving grandmother to Michael Brennan, Matthew Brennan and his wife Sophie, John Barton, Lauren Hartman, Brian Hartman, Sarah Hartman, and Ava Hartman.
Born and raised in Jamaica Plain, Jeanie was one of eleven children of the Gillooly family. She was the sister of her cherished siblings David Gillooly, John Gillooly, and Patricia Robinson and the late Edward Gillooly, Francis Gillooly, Carol Smith, Catherine MacDougall, Mary E. Gillooly, Susan Jones, and Dennis Gillooly.
Jeanie came from a large, close-knit family and carried that same love and warmth into every part of her life. She was a devoted mother and amazing grandmother whose greatest joy came from time spent with her family. She enjoyed babysitting her great nieces and nephews and adored babies. She loved Motown music, dancing, the old family card games on Saturday nights, walking at Castle Island, boating in Boston Harbor, trips to the casino with friends and loved ones, Cadillacs, high heels and marshmallow peeps.
Jeanie's vibrant spirit, laughter, and unwavering love will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
