Jeffrey P. Burns, 44, died unexpectedly at home on Friday, August 21, 2020 at his home. Born in Salem, MA, he was a lifelong resident of Stoughton. He attended Stoughton Schools and, as a youth, participated in many of the town sports. He worked in the shipping and receiving department at Whitehall and MS Walker for several years. A longtime Boston Sports Fan, he was also an avid pool player for 15 years with the APA and the Brockton Cash League. Jeff will be remembered by all, for his wit, compassion, relentless smile and kind, compassionate spirit and heart. He was the ultimate gentle giant.
Jeff leaves his loving daughter Riley Frances Burns of Stoughton. He was the son of Leslie (Dewing) Burns and her husband Robert Disbrow of Sandwich and the late Thomas J. Burns, III. He leaves his cherished and longtime companion Amanda Watts of Stoughton. Jeff was the loving brother of Thomas Joseph Burns, IV and his wife Catie and was the uncle of Zachary Thomas Burns and Maddox Joseph Burns, all of NH. He is also survived by his former wife Mandy Faria. He leaves many family and friends who will always love him, forever miss him and he will never be forgotten.
Visiting Hours will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rte. 27) Stoughton on Wednesday, September 2 from 4-7 PM. Graveside Services will be held in the Evergreen Cemetery, Stoughton on Thursday at 11AM. Donations in Jeff's memory may be made to an education fund for Jeff's daughter at paypal.me/RileyCollegeFund.
