Joanne M. Brown (PoJo), age 56, passed away at her home in Stoughton on September 15, 2021. Born and raised in Stoughton, she was the daughter to Elizabeth Dees and William Brown, and was raised by her two stepfathers, Stewart P. McAfee and Richard Rexford. She was the sister to Shannan McAfee Smith and her husband Gary of South Carolina, previously of Stoughton, Bethannie Maher her husband Stephen of Brockton and Christine McAfee of Brockton. She is survived by her uncle Jay Dees and his wife Linda of Stoughton, and her two cousins Lynne Wax and Kirstin Freitas. She was the loving aunt to Taylar Swain, Courtney Hazelton, Gary P. Smith II, Stephen, Alice and Oliver. She was also the great aunt to Annabelle and Sophia Beauchamp; Marley Summer Gist and Cobain Swain, all of whom she adored.

Joanne was a graphic webpage designer and photographer, owner of Joanne Brown Photography and The Visual Source out of Stoughton. Some of her favorite places were Hull and Boston, especially Nantasket Beach and Fanuel Hall. She loved ziplining and enjoyed traveling to South Carolina to visit her sister Shannan. Joanne made the most of everyday and had a passion for adventure. She truly cherished her family and was always happy to spend time with them. She will be missed by those who knew her.
