John A. Cocchi

John A. "Jack" Cocchi, 86, passed away peacefully on January 2, 2021 at his home in Spring Hill, Florida. He was born in Boston to the late Alice (Wolinski) and Aldo Cocchi. He resided in Stoughton with his loving wife Izzy for over 50 years before moving to Spring Hill, Florida where they enjoyed the warm weather and visiting Pine Island Beach. Jack retired as a longshoreman and the Teamsters Local 25. He also served in the United States Navy. He enjoyed playing cards with his family and enjoyed watching Boston Sports. He also loved going to Foxwoods with "Mom". But most of all he cherished spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Jack was the loving husband for sixty years to the late Isabell M. Cocchi and he was also survived by his five children; Cookie (Hopkins) Colameco and her husband Jay, Donna Cocchi-Bacon and her husband Tom, John J. "Jack" Cocchi and his wife Joan, David Cocchi and his wife Izzy and Sandra Cocchi and her best friend Sue Amaral. He was preceded in death by his son-in-law Stephen Hopkins. He is also survived by his 12 grandchildren; Danielle, Wayne, Melissa, Coley, Shelly, Mark, Jeff, Justin, Heather, Christina, Cory and Josh, his 8 great-grandchildren; Sophia, Zackary, Brenna, Kendall, Stevie, Thomas, Jamison and Siena and 1 great-great grandchild Christopher. He was the brother of Joseph Cocchi and his wife Jane, Robert Cocchi and his wife Paula, Richard Cocchi and the late William "Bill" Cocchi and Paul Cocchi. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

There will be a private graveside service. Donations in Jack's memory may be made to the American Lung Association, Donation Processing Center, PO Box 11039, Lewiston, ME 04243-9409.
