John “Jack” “Bubba” Edward Langille, 85, of Stoughton, passed away on Sunday April 19, 2026, surrounded by family. He was the husband of Diane Langille for 59 loving years and together raised their children in the town of Stoughton. Born and raised in Medford, he is the son of the late Kenneth and Josephine Langille. John was a proud Navy Veteran and a retired Boston Police Detective, Area C District 11. In the 70's John was also known as “coach”, enjoying coaching the Stoughton little league for 5 years. After retirement from the Boston Police Department, he worked as a driver for the Stoughton Council on Aging. Residents of Stoughton would often see John walking in the community with a scratch ticket in one hand and coffee in the other. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend who always saw the best in everyone.

In addition to his wife Diane Langille, he is survived by his son James Langille and his wife Holliday, daughter Julie King and her husband Mark, son John Langille and his wife Ellen, daughter Christine Langille and was preceded in death by his beloved son Brian. He is also survived by his grandchildren Matthew King and his wife Kelli, Makayla King, Joseph Langille, and great-granddaughter Lilly King, as well as many nieces and nephew, and was preceded in death by his 3 siblings.

Visitation will be held at the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park Street (Rt. 27), Stoughton, on Monday April 27th from 5- 7 PM with Funeral Prayers at 7 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in John’s memory may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project at https://support.woundedwarriorproject.org
