John O. Plumer

John O. Plumer, Jr., 42, a longtime resident of Canton, died peacefully at Boston Medical Center on Tuesday, February 16, 2021 after a battle with cancer. He was the son of Diana L. (Rogers) Doucette and her husband, (his stepfather), Mark of Canton and John O. Plumer of Attleboro. Born in Stoughton, he was raised in Norton, Burrillville, RI and Norfolk. John was a graduate of King Philip Regional High School, Class of 1997. He also attended the University of Alaska-Fairbanks and graduated from Connecticut School of Broadcasting in Needham. John was a resident of Canton for the past 17 years. He was an avid Red Sox fan and enjoyed spending time on his computer playing video games and socializing with friends.

In addition to his parents, John is survived by his sister, Patricia A. Plumer of Canton as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, funeral services are private. Interment will take place at Evergreen Cemetery, Stoughton. Donations in John's memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123 or Autism Speaks, 1060 State Road, 2nd Floor, Princeton, NJ 08540.
