It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Jorge Machadinho, 60, on Saturday, December 6, 2025.
A devoted partner, father, loving son, and grandfather, Jorge brought light, kindness, and music into the lives of everyone who knew him, and his presence will be profoundly missed.
Jorge leaves behind his loving partner of nearly 30 years, Gorett Parsloe; his beloved children Daniel Machadinho and his wife Shannon Machadinho, his daughter Tiffany Machadinho, his son Jonathan Machadinho, his stepdaughters Jessica Dowd and her husband Sean Dowd, and Justine Bailey and her husband Jesse Bailey; and his cherished grandchildren Ella and Emerson Dowd, and Tanner, Ainsley, and Teagan Bailey. He is also survived by his beloved parents Joao and Solange Machadinho; his sisters Zilda Faria and her husband Vinnie Faria and Rita Leite and her late husband Edgar Leite; and his brother Michael Machadinho and his wife Dana Machadinho as well as his aunt Zilda Estrela and many cherished cousins, nieces and nephews.
Jorge was a proud veteran of the United States Army, and a man of great heart and generosity. He dedicated his life to his family, his work, and his passions. He was a committed businessman, proudly running his own company since 1995. Yet, his greatest joys came from simple moments—playing his guitar, singing his music, fishing, spending time at the beach and time spent with his family.
Music was woven into Jorge’s soul. He played his guitar every day, sharing songs, joy, and connection with those fortunate enough to hear him. His gentle voice and warm smile made others feel loved, welcomed, and understood.
We will forever miss his presence, but Jorge’s spirit will continue to live on in the memories, music, and love he shared with all of us.
Jorge’s life will be honored in a private gathering for family and close friends.
Donations in his memory may be made to Children's Hospital, 300 Longwood Ave., Boston MA 02215.
