Jose S. Gonsalves

Jose S. Gonsalves, 70, a resident of Cold Spring, NY, died at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie, NY on Tuesday, January 17, 2017. Son of the late Jose Sotero and Domingas (Dos Santos) Gonsalves, he was born and raised in Madeira, Portugal. He lived in Cold Spring for 5 years after living in Stoughton and Canton for several years. Jose was a member of the Portuguese National Club in Stoughton. He enjoyed playing the accordion and cars.

Jose is survived by his sisters, Maria Serradas of Cold Spring, NY, Diolinda Dotil of Florida and Dolores Texeira of Stoughton, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Saturday, January 21 at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10:30 AM. Visiting Hours Friday from 4-7 PM. Interment will take place at Calvary Cemetery, Brockton.
