Joseph A. Lane

Joseph A. Lane, Jr., 63, a resident of Brockton, died unexpectedly at home on Thursday, June 3, 2021. Son of Marie A. (McDonald) Lane of Stoughton and the late Joseph A. Lane, he was born in Brockton and raised in Stoughton. He attended Stoughton High School. Joe resided in Brockton for the past 3 years. He was a mechanic and enjoyed woodworking, electronics and cooking on the grill. He was a friend of Bill W.

Joe was the father of Amy M. Lane of Coal City, WV, James J. Lane and his fiancé Lisa Dunstan of Middleboro and the late Holly Schoonover. He was the brother of Edward F. Lane of Dracut, David R. Lane of Attleboro and Richard A. Lane of Somerville. He is also survived by his former wife, Jane Dmitruk and his best friend, William Greene of Taunton as well as 8 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

A Graveside Service will be held at Blue Hill Cemetery, 700 West St., Braintree on Saturday, June 26 at 10 AM. Visiting Hours will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Friday, June 25 from 4-7 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in Joseph's memory may be made to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, PO Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284-9168.
