Joseph M. Reddish, 78, died Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at his home in Stoughton. Born in Boston, son of the late Joseph M. and Catherine L. (Lopilato) Reddish, he was raised in Dorchester and was a graduate of Dorchester High School. Upon graduation, Joe joined the United States Air Force and proudly served for over 4 years, including over one year stationed in Okinawa, Japan during the Vietnam War. Upon his honorable discharge, he returned home and lived in Boston for several years. Joe also continued his schooling at that time at Northeastern University where he earned his bachelor’s degree. He worked as an Ultrasound and X-Ray Technician for many years and owned his own Ultrasound Company. He retired at age 65. Joe was a resident of Stoughton for over 13 years. A devout Buddhist, Joe enjoyed traveling and had fond memories of his time spent in Europe, especially Switzerland, and vacationing on Cape Cod. Joe was kind and generous, he always enjoyed a good cigar and spending time with his family and friends.

Joe was the brother of Donna Giordani of Quincy, Kathleen A. Yonkunas of NH and the late Maureen German. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Private service will be held. Donations in Joe’s memory may be made to the New England Center and Home for Veterans, 17 Court St, Boston, MA 02108.
