Joseph Anthony Salamone, 86, a resident of Middleboro, died peacefully at home on Sunday, May 11, 2025 surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Janice M. (Repucci) Salamone and the late Louise M. (Gandolfo) Salamone. Son of the late Domenico and Susan (Mangone) Salamone, he was born in Boston and raised in the West End. He was a graduate of Boston Technical High School, Class of 1957. After graduation, Joe served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He resided in Stoughton for 37 years before living in Dennis for 3 years and Middleboro for the past 13 years.
Joe was the owner of Craig Manufacturing, a finished printing company in Stoughton, where he worked for over 40 years until retiring in 2004. After his successful career as a finished printer, he made Wampum jewelry with his wife, Jan. He enjoyed playing golf, gardening, traveling to Florida and was thrilled to take a trip to Italy. His greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, Joe is survived by his children, Craig J. Salamone and his wife Ilea of Stoughton, Derek J. Parker and his companion Suzanne Shreve of Dorchester and Debra M. Parker and her companion Brian Statkiewicz of Mansfield. He was the grandfather of Cole and Carly Salamone, Kyle Parker and Brayden Statkiewicz. He was the brother of Annie Spinale of Medford, Marie White of Somerville, Phyllis Miscioscia of Medford, Charles Salamone of Medford, Anthony Salamone of Wilmington, Linda Stroscio of Medford and the late Virginia Nutile, Vincent Salamone and Rita Papa. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visiting Hours will be held in the First Baptist Church of North Middleboro, 111 Plymouth St., Middleboro on Thursday, May 15 from 9-10:30 AM followed by a Funeral Service at 10:30 AM. Interment will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Dennis. In lieu of flowers, donations in Joe’s memory may be made to the First Baptist Church of North Middleboro, 111 Plymouth St., Middleboro, MA 02346.
