Joyce Kristine (Anderson) Bean

Joyce Kristine (Anderson) Bean, 65, a lifelong resident of Easton, died peacefully at Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton on Monday, April 24, 2023. She was the wife of Robert F. Bean for 39 years. Born in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late Alan H. and Dorothy E. (Erickson) Anderson. She was a graduate of Oliver Ames High School, Class of 1975 and earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Wheaton College, Class of 1979. Joyce was an accounting manager at Draper Bros. in Canton and then at Stone & Webster in Boston before finishing her career at McDermott Construction in Texas, retiring in 2020. She enjoyed stitching, dining out, reading and traveling, especially to the Caribbean and Martha’s Vineyard. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends.

In addition to her husband, Joyce is survived by her daughter, Sarah Anderson Bean of Easton. She was the sister of the late Dorothy J. Byrnes. She is also survived by her dog, Nellie, her cat, Nugget and several nieces and nephews.  

Funeral Service will be held from the Covenant Congregational Church, 204 Center St. Easton on Monday, May 1 at 11 AM. Visitation at the church prior from 9:30-11 AM. A private burial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Joyce‘s memory may be made to the Covenant Congregational Church, 204 Center St., Easton, MA 02356
