Joyce M. (Tobin) Nee

Joyce M. (Tobin) Nee, 96, died Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at the Mayflower Place Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in West Yarmouth. Born in Boston, she was raised and educated in Roxbury and was a graduate of Roxbury Schools. Joyce also attended Tufts Elliot Pearson School, Massasoit Community College and Bridgewater State College. In 1950 she married Thomas L. Nee, and together they enjoyed over 58 years of marriage and raised their 2 beloved sons before Tom’s death in 2009. They moved to Stoughton in 1962 to raise their family. Joyce was the founder and owner of Joyce M. Nee Preschool in Stoughton, a school that she ran with love and learning for over 35 years until her retirement at age 63. Joyce and Tom enjoyed taking cruises and traveling. She was a longtime resident of Stoughton, before moving to Sandwich 10 years ago to be closer to her family. In her free time, 

Joyce enjoyed reading, traveling to Foxwoods and Plainridge Casinos and spending time with her beloved family and friends. Joyce was the mother Thomas J. Nee and his wife Christine of FL & NH and Robert B. Nee and his wife Susan of Sandwich. She was the grandmother of Kaitlyn Nee, Patrick Nee, Michael Nee, Scott Nee and Colleen Nee and the sister of the late Kathleen Hayes and Leo Tobin. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. 

Visiting Hours will be held in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rte. 27) Stoughton on Monday, January 12, 2026 from 10AM-12Noon with Funeral Prayers to follow at Noon.
