Judith M. (Theriault) Cote

Judith M. (Theriault) Cote, 82, died Friday, June 19, 2026, at her home in Norton, after a long period of declining health. She was the wife of the late Allan R. Cote. Born and raised in Stoughton, she attended St. Mary’s School and Stoughton High School. Judy was a longtime resident of Stoughton, before moving to Norton with her daughter in 2021. She worked for Spoontiques in Stoughton for over 20 years, retiring as a supervisor many years ago. Judy was an animal lover who enjoyed trips to the local casinos, shopping and, above all, spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Judy was the mother of Suzette M. McAvoy of OH, Marlene Y. Silva and her husband Miguel of Norton and the late Dennis McAvoy and William J. McAvoy and his surviving wife Donna of Middleboro. She was the sister of Marlene Bogen of AZ and the late Barbara E. Wallace, Wayne F. Theriault and David E. Theriault. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren and her beloved cat Toby.
