Judy A. Hatfield, 65, a resident of West Bridgewater, died unexpectedly at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center in Brighton on Thursday, October 1, 2020. She was the longtime companion of James Polechronis. Daughter of the late John T. and Ann (Mitchell) Hatfield, she was born in Anaheim, CA and raised in Avon. Judy was a graduate of Avon High School, Class of 1973. She was a resident of Stoughton for many years before moving to West Bridgewater 5 years ago. She worked for Polaroid in Norwood for 35 years before retiring 10 years ago. Judy enjoyed trivia nights with friends and playing Backgammon but her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends.

Judy was the mother of the late Thomas B. Lucier. She was the sister of Illine "Pudgie" Short of West Bridgewater, formerly of Stoughton, John T. Hatfield, Jr. of Bridgewater and the late Jane Hatfield. She was the aunt of Tammy Beder and her husband Michael, Casey Short, Alexandra Hatfield, Anastasia Hatfield and Abigail Hatfield and the great-aunt of Arianna Beder, Andrew Beder, Mason Foley and Samuel Foley.

Visiting Hours will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Tuesday, October 6 from 4-7 PM. Masks and social distancing required. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, funeral services will be private for close friends and family. In lieu of flowers, donations in Judy's name may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
