Lawrence F. Conti, 94, died Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at the Arbors at Stoughton, after a long period of declining health. He was the husband of 67 years of Walburga F. “Bucky” Conti of Stoughton. Born and raised in Framingham, he was a graduate of Framingham Schools and was also a graduate of the Television Institute of Chicago. He was a Veteran of the United States Marine Corps serving from 1946 -1948. He was a resident of Stoughton since 2017, previously spending over 60 years and raising his family in Canton. Larry was a longtime employee of WEEI Radio in Boston and retired in 1988. He was an outdoorsman who loved camping on Cape Breton Island in Canada with his family, canoeing, golf, bee keeping and reading. He was an accomplished cook and was famous for his homemade pasta and bread. He was happiest when surrounded by family and dedicated himself to his wife Bucky right up to the end of his life. He also liked to boast that he could still dive off the diving board into the family swimming pool at age 85.
In addition to his wife Bucky, he is survived by his children MacDonald F. Conti and his wife Deborah, Lauren L. Conti and Dante C. Conti and his partner Heather Groves, all of Stoughton. He was the grandfather of Alex M. Conti, Jenna M. Conti and Andrew L. Conti. He was the brother of Alfred Conti of Framingham and the late Eugene, John, and Joseph Conti, Louise Goguen, Mary Byra and Rita Harrison. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visiting Hours will be held in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) on Tuesday, January 17th from 4-7PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton on Wednesday, January 18th at 10:30AM.
