Lesley A. (Haight) Roche

Lesley A. (Haight) Roche, 89, died July 2, 2023, at her home in Stoughton after a long period of failing health. She was the devoted wife of 62 years of the late Thomas F. Roche Jr. Born and raised in Milton, she was a proud graduate of Milton High School where she was known for her great sense of humor and love of music. She later attended Finishing (Secretarial) school after high school and held several administrative assistant positions through the years. Lesley also worked various part time jobs over the years while devoting herself to her main job - raising and caring for her four children. In her retirement years, Lesley worked as a Crossing Guard in Stoughton where she touched the hearts of many children. She loved animals and enjoyed knitting, reading, playing the piano, gardening, spending time on the beach in Wareham, and being with her family. She also enjoyed watching sports with her husband and became an avid Red Sox and Patriot fan. Lesley was a strong woman who faced life’s obstacles with strength and courage. She is lovingly remembered as someone who sacrificed herself to help others.

Lesley was the beloved mother of Thomas F. Roche III and his wife Barbara of Brockton, Janet A. Ayer of Stoughton, Lynda A. Roche of Whitman, and the late Lesley D. Roche. She was the loving grandmother of Raymond (RJ) Pomerleau Jr., Richard LaFrance Jr., Lucas Pomerleau, Thomas F. Roche IV, and Emily Brown. She was the great grandmother of Myles, Dexter, Quentin, and Quill Pomerleau. Lesley was the beloved sister of the late Janet Allen and the sister-in-law of George Allen of Florida. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews who she dearly loved.

Funeral Prayers will be held in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rte 27) Stoughton on Thursday at 11 AM with a Visitation hour prior to the Prayers from 10AM-11AM. Donations in Lesley’s memory may be made to the Brockton VNA Hospice, 500 Belmont St. Suite 200, Brockton, MA 02301.
