Emblem

Louis J. Crivellaro, affectionately known as “Lou”, age 84, a longtime resident of Stoughton, passed away on December 7, 2025, surrounded by family. He was the dear husband to Carole A. (Guadagno) Crivellaro for 65 loving years. Born in Boston, he was the son of the late Diego Joseph Crivellaro and Yvonne (LaVasseur) Crivellaro, and was raised and educated in Hyde Park, graduating from Hyde Park High School, Class of 1959. Shortly after graduating, Lou entered the United States Army and was stationed in Germany. Serving his country during his early twenties, he carried tremendous pride in his military service. Following his service, Lou pursued higher education at Boston College, where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree. He went on to build a long and successful career as an engineer with Verizon, dedicating 37 years to the company. Together Lou and Carole built a beautiful life raising their family in Stoughton, also making memories in Lovell, Maine, where they found peace in the natural beauty that surrounded them, later spending their winters in New Port Richey, Florida. A true outdoorsman, Lou loved fishing, hunting, hiking, and biking, but woodworking was his passion. His craftsmanship was extraordinary—every piece he created was made with patience, care, and artistic skill. From furniture to small household pieces to the dock he proudly built in Maine, he poured his heart into his work. Above all, Lou cherished time with his family and grandchildren and will be greatly missed.

In addition to his wife Carole, Lou is survived by his children James Crivellaro and his wife Jean of Mansfield, Denise Brunelle and her husband Andy of Westford, Diane Crivellaro and her husband Fred Yazzi of Port Richey, FL, Daniel Crivellaro and Pamela Marshall of Foxboro, and was preceded in death by his son Louis Crivellaro. He was the Grampa to Nicole, James, Sandra, Louis, Stephen, Joseph and Paige, and the great Grampy to Shea, Madison, Louis, Colin, Josephine, Giada, Owen, Amelia, Charlie and Skylar. He also leaves behind his brother Charles Crivellaro and his late wife Anni of North Easton, and was preceded in death by his siblings Rosemarie Raddie, and Paul Crivell, as well as many nieces and nephews.
