Obituary

Macdonald F. “Mick” Conti, 69, died Thursday, August 27, 2026, at his home in Stoughton, surrounded by the love of his family, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Born and raised in Canton, son of the late Lawrence and Walburga (MacDonald) Conti, he was a graduate of Canton High School, Class of 1974 and later earned his Associates Degree from Massasoit Community College. In 1988, he married Deborah A. Morano, and together they enjoyed over 38 years of marriage and raised their two beloved children. They moved to Stoughton in 1990. Mick worked as a Systems Analyst for John Hancock in Boston for many years, retiring in 2022. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching soccer and the Boston Bruins. Mick found joy in the simple things in life; enjoying a cold beer with a side of Jameson at the Public House and Governor’s Pub in Stoughton and camping with his family. Their annual camping trips to The Cove in New Hampshire or to Colonial Mast in Maine were the highlight of every summer. In his free time, Mick enjoyed being surrounded by his family and friends.

Mick’s family would like to recognize and thank Dr. Mahesh Pandey and his staff at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute for the many years of professional care and support throughout Mick’s journey.

In addition to his wife Deborah A. (Morano) Conti of Stoughton, he is survived by his children, Alex M. Conti (Stoughton FD) and his fiancé Jordan Angelos and Jenna M. Conti, all of Stoughton. He was the brother of Lauren L. Conti of Stoughton and Dante Conti of CA. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and many friends.

Visiting Hours will be held in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rte. 27) Stoughton on Wednesday, September 2, 2026 from 4-7 PM. Funeral will be held from the Funeral Home on Thursday at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at the Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10:30 AM. Donations in Mick’s memory may be made to Dana Farber Cancer Institute, PO Box 849168, Boston 02215.
