Madeleine (Benjamin) Beauboeuf

Marie Marguerite Madeleine Benjamin was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti on October 12, 1931 to Alphonse Marie Alexis Benjamin and Marie-Anna (Tina) Moreau Benjamin. She was the fourth of six children.

In 1954 she married Joseph Michel Emmanuel Beauboeuf in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. They immigrated to the United States in 1958 and settled in the South End of Boston. They moved to Dorchester in 1960 and lived there for many years. They had five children and remained together for 42 years until his passing in 1996. In 1997, she moved to Milton.

Madeleine was a beautiful and vibrant woman. She filled her life with her faith, her family and her friends.  She loved flowers and spent hours in her garden. She was a devout Catholic and attended St. Mary of the Hills Catholic Church in Milton, MA. Every morning, she prayed the Holy Rosary for her family, friends, and herself faithfully.

She worked as a lunch aid at Phillips Brooks Elementary School in Dorchester and in the mail department at John Hancock in Boston, MA. She retired from John Hancock in 1997.

She was predeceased by her husband Joseph Michel Emmanuel Beauboeuf, her daughter Marie-Josée Cardinez (Ricardo), and siblings Georgette Dodard, Rene Benjamin, Yolande (Fifi) Dessables, and Daniel (Daddy) Benjamin. She is survived by her brother Maurice Benjamin of Montreal, Canada.

She leaves behind her children: Genevieve Marie-Carmel Beauboeuf, Mona Altagracia Benjamin, Emmanuel Michel Beauboeuf (Lolita), Philippe Alexis Beauboeuf (Michele).

Her grandchildren: Stephanie Marie Felix, Marc Hans Felix, Jr.(Sara), Samantha Angela Reyes (Paco), Alex Dominic Beauboeuf (Blue), Elyse Michelle Beauboeuf, Michael David Beauboeuf, Maxwell Xavier Beauboeuf.

Her Great Grandchildren: Tyler Jordan Thermidor, Alexis McKenzie Coe, Dominic Joseph Felix, Mya Marie Felix, Nico Robert Felix, Marquette Warren III, and Abia-Faith Katrina-Grace Beauboeuf.

Madeleine was welcomed back home by Jesus on June 20, 2020 lovingly surrounded by her family. She now rests peacefully in the palm of God's hands.

A Private Funeral Mass will be celebrated for immediate family at St. Mary of the Hills Church, Milton on Thursday at 10:30 AM followed by interment at Oak Lawn Cemetery, Roslindale.
