Margaret A. “Peggy” (McSheffrey) Rampino, 69, died Friday, October 17, 2025, at the South Shore Hospital in Weymouth, after a period of failing health. Born in Dorchester, daughter of the late Henry and Margaret (McCole) McSheffrey, she was raised and educated in Dorchester and was a graduate of Boston Schools. At age 19, she married John A. Rampino and together they spent over 48 years together and raised 3 children before his death in 2023. Peggy worked as a Customer Service Representative at Waste Management in Foxboro for over 10 years and retired at age 62. She was a dedicated wife, mother, and nana. A devoted sister to her siblings. Peggy enjoyed traveling with John and her family, camping, and taking cruises. She was a talented cook and was famous for her Chicken Parm and her Sunday Dinners. Peggy enjoyed spending time outdoors, shopping, gardening, and always loved being surrounded by her beloved family.

Peggy is survived by her children, Tammy A. Hillery and her husband David of Halifax, John H. Rampino and his wife Carly of Freetown, and Erin M. Rampino and her significant other Christopher Phinney of Wells, ME. She was the loving Nana of Christopher M. Stearns, John Anthony Rampino, and Ava Amelia Rampino. Peggy was the sister of Mary Murphy of Cape Cod, Kathleen Ricottelli of Stoughton, Michael McSheffrey of Mansfield, Annie McSheffrey, and Sheila Lienemann, all of IL, and the late Patrick McSheffrey, Hugh McSheffrey, and Rose McSheffrey. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Jaylean Hillery and Skylar McManus, and several nieces and nephews.

Visiting Hours will be held in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rte. 27) Stoughton on Saturday, November 1, 2025, from 5-7 PM followed by Funeral Prayers at 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Peggy’s memory may be made to the American Lung Association, PO Box 70360 Philadelphia, PA 19176-0360
