Maria da Conceição Martins da Silva, 92, died on Sunday, August 18, 2019 at Golden Crest Nursing Centre in North Providence, RI. She was the wife of the late Adolfo Garcia da Silva. She was a longtime resident of Stoughton, MA, of Faial, Azores, Portugal, and recently of North Providence, RI. She was born in Terceira, Azores, Portugal, where she was raised and educated before meeting the love of her life and moving to Faial, Azores, Portugal. There she lived and raised her family until immigrating to the United States in 1968. Mrs. da Silva worked at Stoughton Elastic Web for many years. She loved cooking, giving and caring for her family.

Mrs. da Silva was the mother of Adolfo Martins da Silva of Wareham, MA, Adélia Costa of Stoughton, MA, and the late António Martins Garcia da Silva. She was the sister of Margarida Gomes, José Costa, the late Valdemiro Costa, and the late António Costa. She is also survived by her grandson, Charles A. da Silva and his wife, Amanda, of North Providence, RI, who cared for her in her final years, as well as 6 additional grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Immaculate Conception Church, 122 Canton St., Stoughton on Thursday, August 22 at 11:30 AM. Visiting Hours are omitted. Burial will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Stoughton, MA.
