Maria J. (Martins) Eduardo

Maria J. (Martins) Eduardo, 86, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died peacefully at Copley at Stoughton on Tuesday, October 4, 2022.  She was the wife of the late Eduino V. Eduardo for 65 years.  Daughter of the late Jose G. and Luisa (Duarte) Martins, she was born and raised in Fajãzinha, Flores, Azores, Portugal.  Maria resided in Stoughton for 56 years.  She worked for Raytheon for 20 years before retiring in 1986.  She loved the summertime, knitting and gardening but her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Maria is survived by her sons, Jose M. Eduardo of Brazil and Duarte M. Eduardo and his wife Sarah Minsk-Eduardo of Hopkinton.  She was the grandmother of Kevin Eduardo, Stephanie DeMello and her husband Roberto and Gabriel Minsk and great-grandmother of Jase and Tessa DeMello.  She was the sister of Helder Martins of Wayland and the late Jose and Antonio Martins.  She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. 

Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Tuesday, October 11 at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10:30 AM.  Visiting Hours Monday from 3-6 PM.  Interment will take place at Evergreen Cemetery, Stoughton.
