Maria L. "Mary" (Andrade) Jardin, 95, died Friday, March 25, 2022 at her home in Stoughton, after a short period of failing health. Born in Taunton, she was raised and educated in Stoughton and was a lifelong resident of the town. In 1948, she married Anthony Jardin at the Immaculate Conception Church in Stoughton and together they spent over 63 years of marriage, before his death in 2011. They were the devoted parents of 9 children. She was a dedicated wife, mother and homemaker. After raising her children, she worked as a Teacher's Aide at Stoughton Junior High School in the Bilingual Program for over 10 years and also volunteered at the Gibbons School in Stoughton for many years. She was also a gifted seamstress and was a loyal member of the Stoughton Historical Society and the "Busy Bees". Mrs. Jardin enjoyed crafts, spending time knitting, crocheting, reading, doing puzzles and following friends and family on Facebook. Above all, she enjoyed spending time with her beloved family.
Mary is the mother of Richard Jardin and Robert Jardin, both of CA, Toni A. Klopfenstein of N. Attleboro, Michael Jardin of Brockton, Francine "Tina" Dickens of CT, Jay A. Jardin of Norton, Lynne M. Jardin of Stoughton, John F. Jardin of Falmouth and the late Thomas Jardin. She was the sister of Cecelia Andrade of Canton and the late Dolores Rodrigues and Theresa Camara. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, one great great granddaughter and several nieces and nephews.
Visiting Hours will be held in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Wednesday, April 6th from 4-7 PM. Funeral Prayers will be held at the Farley Funeral Home on Thursday, April 7th at 11 AM followed by Interment at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
