Maria Lucia (Vasconcelos) Louro

Maria Lucia (Vasconcelos) Louro, 68, died unexpectedly on Monday, June 27, 2022 at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton. Born and raised in Lomba, on the island of Flores in the Azores, she came to the United States in 1979 and settled in Stoughton. In 1980, she married Antonio M. Louro, and together they shared over 41 years of marriage and raised their beloved son John Paul Louro. She worked in Electronics for many years, starting at Analog Devices for over 17 years and most recently worked at S & S Research and Virtex, all in Norwood. She retired in 2020. Lucia enjoyed tending to her flowers and her Hydrangeas, cooking and watching soap operas. In her free time, she enjoyed spending time with her beloved family and her friends.

In addition to her husband Antonio, she is survived by her son John Paul Louro of Stoughton, and her siblings, Maria Noemia Vieira of Stoughton and Lucio Vasconcelos of Flores. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Friday, July 1, 2022 at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church at 10:30 AM. Visiting Hours Thursday, June 30, 2022 from 4-7 PM.
