Mark A. Slawsby

Mark A. Slawsby, age 68, passed away at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston on August 19, 2025. Born, raised and educated in Brockton, he was the son of the late Herbert Slawsby and Sophie (Cohen), and was a graduate of Brockton High School, Class of 1978. He was a maintenance worker at Reebok out of Stoughton for over 10 years. Mark was a member of the Boston Church of Christ for over 30 years and cherished his church family with whom he shares many fond memories with. He enjoyed going for long walks, and was friendly with everyone, having a special gift of striking up a conversation with anyone he met along the way. Mark was social within his community and truly loved everyone he met.

Mark is survived by his brother Gerald Slawsby of Brockton, as well as his cousins Gail Kozol, Steve and Dean Slawsby, and many close friends.

Visitation will be held at the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park Street (Rt. 27), Stoughton, on Wednesday August 27th from 5-7 PM. A Funeral Service will be held the next day at the funeral home, Thursday August 28th at 10 AM. Interment will follow at Temple Beth Emunah Cemetery, 1000 Pearl Street Brockton. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mark’s memory may be made to HOPE Worldwide at https://hopeww.kindful.com/.
