Marthe C. (Clotaire) Daumec, 90, died Thursday, February 17, 2022, peacefully at her home in Stoughton, after a short illness. Marthe was known affectionately as "Dee" to many and lived a long life devoted to her family. A teacher while living in Haiti - she and her family moved from Cayes to Boston in 1964, where she worked for Shawmut Bank until her retirement. Marthe was widowed early in life and worked hard to continue to support her daughters. She moved from Mattapan to Stoughton in 1985 with her daughter Gyna and son-in-law Wilhem, where she went on to help raise her granddaughters with great love and care. A beloved matriarch in a large family – Marthe was in constant contact with friends and relatives everywhere. She will be missed by countless loved ones.
Mrs. Daumec is survived by her two daughters, Nancy D. Amedee and her husband Franck Amedee of Tewksbury and Gyna D. Audain and her husband S. Wilhem Audain of Stoughton. She was the grandmother of Pascale Audain, Michelle Connors, and her husband Philip Connors, Rachelle Amedee, Bernard Amedee, Sandy Amedee, and her fiancé Sean Phillips and Jessica Amedee and her significant other Brendan Shea. She is also survived by her great-grandson Callum Connors and her nephew Seneque Pierre. She was the sister of Nicole Gabriel, Marie Carmele Clerge, and Rigobert Clerge, all of Florida. She is pre-deceased by her husband Antoine Daumec, her mother Isaure Clotaire, her father Ferrer Clotaire, and her siblings Bertin Clerge, Pierre Clerge, and Lessage Clotaire.
Visiting Hours will be held in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Thursday, February 24 from 9-10 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at St. James Church, Stoughton at 10:30 AM. Please use Covid Guidelines and wear a mask during Wake and Funeral.
