Mary E. (Feeley) Alexopoulos, 73, died on Friday, November 25, 2022, in Spring Hill, FL, after a period of declining health. She was the wife of the late Peter Alexopoulos. Born in Wareham, she was raised and educated in Hyde Park and Mattapan and was a graduate of Boston Schools. She was a resident of Brooksville, FL for the past 15 years, previously living in Brockton for many years. She was a beloved wife and mother who cherished her time raising her two sons. She was dedicated to the happiness of her sons, whether it was practicing baseball or being the Team Mom, Mary always volunteered to help her boys. Mary enjoyed playing cards, especially cribbage with her husband. She was a talented cook who, despite not being Greek, excelled in cooking Greek foods, especially Grape Leaves, Baklava and Spanikopita. In her free time, she enjoyed spending time at the beach and spending time with her family.
Mary was the cherished mother of Frank T. Alexopoulos of RI and Christos Alexopoulos of Weymouth. She is also survived by one sister, two brothers and several nieces and nephews.
Visiting Hours will be held at the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Tuesday, December 6, 2022 from 4-7 PM. Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at 11 AM with burial to follow at Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. Donations in Mary’s memory may be made to Dana Farber Cancer Institute, PO Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284.
