Mary M. (Sferrazza) Fullerton

Mary M. (Sferrazza) Fullerton, age 74, passed away at the Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital- Plymouth, on September 11, 2021. She was born in Boston to the late Mary (O'Donnell) and Vincent James Sferrazza. She grew up in Stoughton, where she met her husband, Paul G. Fullerton, at the age of 14. They grew up together and became best friends, spending 60 loving years together. Mary attended Stoughton High School and went to Massasoit Community College where she earned an Associate's Degree in social work. She also took classes at Bridgewater State College for social work, that tied into her degree to further her education. She was a Real Estate Agent for many years working for Coldwell Banker Hutchinson Realty Company. She also worked for the Stoughton Court System for a short while.

Mary was a selfless soul and was always wondering what she could do to help someone. Anything that involved helping people and being there for them in any way she could, was a priority in her life. She was always truly there for others and it shined through in her daily life. She even dedicated her time volunteering in helping those that were diagnosed with cancer for many years. Mary used to enjoy going to Carson Beach when she lived in Southie, and absolutely loved the ocean. She also had a great passion towards animals as well, especially dogs. She was a music lover of all sorts, and particularly enjoyed The Oldies and was a true "Parrot Head" as an avid Jimmy Buffet fan. She truly was a devoted person to those she cared for, and she held her family near and dear to her heart. She will be greatly missed by those who were blessed to know her.

Mary is survived by her children Gennette Fullerton of Oregon, Paul Fullerton and his wife Kristina of Lakeville, Laura Flaherty of Raynham and Linda Long of Brockton. She was the loving sister to Paul Sferrazza and his wife Barbara of Stoughton, Roland Sferrazza and his late wife Ann of Hanover, James Sferrazza and his late wife Kathy of Lakeville, and was predeceased by her siblings Rosemarie Keough and John Sferrazza. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.


Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton Friday, September 17th at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton, at 10:30 AM. Visiting Hours will be held on Thursday, September 16th from 4-7 PM. Donations in Mary's memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 3 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
