Mary C. (Catalano) Hagerty

Mary C. (Catalano) Hagerty, 83, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died Thursday, May 4, 2023 at the Mt. Auburn Hospital in Cambridge, after a long period of declining health.  Born and raised in Roslindale, she was a graduate of Roslindale High School, Class of 1957.  In 1958, she married Frederick M. Hagerty at Sacred Heart Church in Roslindale, and they spent the last 65 years together and raised 3 beloved sons.  Mary and Fred moved to Stoughton over 52 years ago to raise their young family. After raising her boys, Mary began working as a Medical Secretary and Unit Coordinator at the Cardinal Cushing Hospital and later the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton. She retired many years ago.  Mary was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother.  She enjoyed shopping and, in her free time, enjoyed spending time with her beloved family and her devoted cat Jimmy. 

In addition to her husband Fred, Mary is survived by her sons, Frederick J. Hagerty and his wife Lori and Mark M. Hagerty, all of Stoughton, and Michael L. Hagerty and his wife Jennifer of NH. She was the grandmother of Matthew Hagerty, Patrick Hagerty, Briana Hagerty, Samantha Hagerty and Hannah Hagerty and the great grandmother of Taylor Chenette.   She was predeceased by 6 brothers and sisters and is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Prayers will be held in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Tuesday, May 9 at 12 Noon with Visiting Hours prior from 10 AM -12 Noon.
