Mary Elizabeth (Mazzola) Sinclair, of North Easton, formerly of Chatham and Stoughton, passed away on Monday, April 20, 2026, at the age of 79. She is survived by John, her devoted husband and forever Valentine of 56 years, and their three children: Jack (Ba-Nhi) Sinclair of Port Washington, NY; Larry (Debbie) Sinclair of Bridgewater; and Rachel (Stephen) Hansen of North Easton. Mary’s shining light was directed at her eight treasured grandchildren: Senna, Bella, Gia, Brandon, Zachary, Elle, William, and Julia.
Mary was born in Brighton and was the eldest child of the late Loreto and Mary Mazzola. She is survived by her three siblings, Rose (Al) Wittemen of Florida, Larry Mazzola of Florida, and Rena (Phil) Eng of New Jersey. She leaves behind many incredible cousins, nieces, nephews, and sisters- and brothers-in-law.
Mary met John, the love of her life, when the Mazzolas and Sinclair's shared half of a four-family home in Brighton. Their bond spanned more than 70 years. Together, they built a life defined by devotion, raising their family in Stoughton, before retiring to Mary’s happiest place - Chatham.
Mary was the first person to offer support and the last one to ask for it; a selfless nurturer until the very end. Believing most challenges could be overcome with a warm plate of food, her happiest moments were when the seats at her kitchen table were full - a legendary cook, she always welcomed the opportunity to entertain family.
It was a long goodbye, and our hearts and stomachs have missed the love that Mary brought into our lives. Yet there is comfort in imagining her now, filling heaven’s kitchen with the kindness she shared with us and that her table is once again full. As you go about your day, honor Mary’s legacy: ask someone if they need anything, pour yourself a glass of Champagne, share a Cape Cod traffic report, then set your dinner table and raise a glass to the chef who showed us that food is love.
