Mary A. (Sullivan) Turano, 73, a resident of Avon, died peacefully on Thursday, July 25, 2019. Daughter of the late Charles A. and Helen D. (O'Brien) Sullivan, she was born in Boston and raised in West Roxbury. Mary was a graduate of Roslindale High School and attended Emmanuel College in Boston. She resided in Avon since 1996 after living in Stoughton for 23 years. Mary worked at Stop & Shop in Stoughton for 30 years before retiring 3 years ago & for the past four years she worked at TJ Maxx on the Stoughton/Brockton line. She enjoyed sewing and music but her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Mary is survived by her children, David Turano and his wife Christine of Canton, Suzanne Ryan and her husband Paul of Norwood and Paul Turano and his wife Melanie of Canton, as well as her grandchildren, Jack, Chris, Emma, Ben, Ronan, Sean, Nick and Lia. She was the sister of the late Charles Sullivan, Eugene Sullivan and Lois Davis. She is also survived by her former husband, Carmelo J. Turano and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Immaculate Conception Church, 122 Canton St., Stoughton on Monday, August 5 at 10 AM. Interment private. In lieu of flowers donations in Mary's memory may be made to Boston Children's Hospital, 401 Park Dr., Suite 602, Boston, MA 02215.
