Maureen M. (Downey) Tingley

Maureen M. (Downey) Tingley, 79, died Monday, January 8, 2024, at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton, after a short period of declining health. Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Rita (Downey) Constas and stepdaughter of the late Dennis "Denny" Constas. She was raised and educated in Dorchester and was a 1963 graduate of Dorchester High School.  Maureen was a longtime resident of Brockton. She worked as a School Bus Driver for over 30 years at several area companies, including Lucini Bus Lines in Bridgewater, and owned her own transportation company for several years. Maureen was a lover of animals and earlier in her life, enjoyed karate and painting ceramics.  In her free time, she cherished time with her family. She was a devoted mother and grandmother to her grandchildren who will be greatly missed.  

Maureen is survived by her daughter, Ann-Marie C. Tingley and her fiancé Nathanael Flores of Brockton. She was the loving Nana to Damien Aponte, Brianna Aponte, Isabelle Flores, and Nathanael Flores, and was the great-grandmother of Nova Aponte. She was the sister of Deborah McMahon of Taunton and the late Paul Downey, Patricia Riley, and Kenneth Lovejoy. She also leaves behind many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Funeral Service will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Friday, January 19, 2024 at 11 AM. Visiting Hours Thursday, January 18, 2024 from 4:30-7:30 PM. Interment will take place at Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton. In lieu of flowers, donations in Maureen’s memory may be made to MSPCA/Angell Memorial Animal Hospital, 350 S. Huntington Ave, Boston, MA 02130.
