Melissa L. (Parker) McHugh

Melissa L. (Parker) McHugh passed away peacefully in her sleep at her home in Brockton on March 7, 2024 at the age of 50 years old.  She was preceded in death by her spouse, Jo Macomber, who died in 2005. She was the daughter of Kathleen A. (Reid) Drago of Easton, MA, and the late Gary E. Parker, of Port St. Lucie, FL. Melissa was educated in Stoughton and was a graduate of Stoughton High School. She also worked as an EMT for several years before becoming disabled.  Melissa enjoyed writing poetry in her spare time and was very gifted.

Melissa is survived by her sisters, Robin L. McKeon and her husband, John of Coventry, RI and Laura H. Faherty and her husband, Peter of Southbridge, MA. She is also the sister of the late Dawnmarie Surdam, of Taunton, and aunt to the late Mark H. Rogers of Arizona. Melissa leaves behind many nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles, as well as two great-nephews.
