Michael A. Norrman

Michael Arno Norrman, 70, died unexpectedly Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton. He was the beloved husband of 41 years of Wendy (Bergstrom) Norrman. Born in Brockton, he was raised and educated in Easton and was a graduate of Oliver Ames High School, Class of 1966. Michael was a longtime resident of Easton who moved to West Bridgewater in 2012. He was a graduate of Massasoit Community College in Brockton and attended North Adams State College. He enjoyed working as a custodian at the Center School in Easton for several years and was a member of the Southeastern Public Employees Association. He looked forward to dressing up for Halloween every year to greet the kids. He also worked for his family's business, Ar-No Machine Shop in Easton, for decades. Michael was an avid reader, golfer and longtime player in the Easton Town Softball League. He spent his free time with family and friends, usually laughing and sharing stories. He was a devoted fan of the Red Sox and Patriots who enjoyed landscaping his backyard with his backhoe.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his two daughters, Sara J. Norrman and her husband Graham Van Epps and Amy Norrman and her husband Drew Harmon, all of Milton. Predeceased by his parents, Arno and Mary (Cotter) Norrman, he was the brother of Robert E. Norrman and his wife Bonnie, John F. Norrman and his wife Doreen and Victoria A. Cole and her husband John, all of Easton, Thomas W. Norrman and his wife Sheila of E. Bridgewater and Daniel R. Norrman and his wife Melissa of Dedham. He was the loving and proud Grandpa of Phoebe and Wesley. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

He will be remembered for his sense of humor, caring, gentle manner and willingness to lend a helping hand or share a kind word. He will be greatly missed.

Funeral Services will be held in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Tuesday at 10 AM. Visiting Hours Monday from 4-8 PM and also on Tuesday prior to the service from 9-10 AM. Donations in Michael's memory may be made to Center School PAC Library Fund to help update their collection,
