Nicolena M. (DiMazio) Sweeney

Nicolena M. “Nickie” (DiMazio) Sweeney, 93, died Sunday, April 28, 2024, at her home in Stoughton, after a long period of failing health. Born in Brockton, she was raised and educated in Brockton. Mrs. Sweeney was a resident of Stoughton for over 55 years. A dedicated homemaker and mother, after raising her family, she worked as an assembler for Brookfield Engineering in Stoughton for over 15 years, retiring at age 65. She enjoyed dancing, traveling and listening to Elvis Presley music, especially “I’m All Shook Up”. Her family was the center of her life and she loved spending time with them.

Nickie is survived by her children: Debbie Ellis of Brockton, David M. Sweeney and William Sweeney, both of Stoughton, Henry Sweeney, Jr. and his partner Edward Vento and true friend Richard Jones of Mansfield, Robert Sweeney and his spouse Steve Miller and Michael Sweeney, all of FL and her daughter by choice, Robin Davidson and her husband Mark of Sandwich. She was the sister of Teresa Fogarty and Louie DiMazio both of Wareham and the late Josephine Carlson. She is also survived by her grandson Joseph Ellis.

Private Family Services will be held.
