Oscar Inocencio

Oscar M. Inocencio, 78, died unexpectedly on Friday, May 10, 2024, at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton, after falling ill at his home in Stoughton. He was the beloved husband of 55 years of Celeste (Faria) Inocencio. Born and educated in Lisbon, Portugal, he came to the US in 1968 and settled in the Savin Hill Section of Dorchester. He moved to Stoughton over 30 years ago. Oscar worked as a Machine Operator for the Modern Die Company in Dorchester for many years, retiring at age 68. He was known as the “Bay Road Bike Guy” as he repaired and resold bikes from his home for many years. A longtime member of the San Joao Filharmonic Club in Stoughton, Oscar loved fishing in his free time and looked forward to his yearly trips back to Portugal. His greatest joy was being surrounded by his family.

In addition to his wife, Celeste, he is survived by his three sons, Chuck Inocencio and his wife Carmen of Fall River, Rich Inocencio of Pembroke and Rob Inocencio of Stoughton. He was the beloved Vovô of Arlene Zeolla, Anthony, Devin, Emmy and Zoe Inocencio and the great grandfather of Lincoln and Connor Zeolla. He is also survived by a large extended family.

A Celebration of Oscar's Life will be held at the San Joao Filharmonic Society, 845 Washington Street, Stoughton on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, from 4-8 PM.
