Pamela J. Dowd

 Pamela J. Dowd, 55, died unexpectedly on Friday, September 30. 2022, at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton, after a short illness.  Born in Jamaica Plain, she was raised and educated in Stoughton and was a 1985 graduate of Stoughton High School.  She was also a graduate of UMass Boston.  Pam was a longtime resident of Stoughton.  She worked as a supervisor at Casual Male Big and Tall Distribution Center in Canton for many years.  Pam was an animal lover who enjoyed volunteering at the Brockton Animal Shelter.  She loved gardening and was studying to be a floral designer.  Pam was unique and had a style all her own, and always enjoyed spending time at the ocean.  Whether on Cape Cod, Nantucket or Aruba, she always found peace at the beach.  She was a fun, adventurous and sensitive person who loved spending time with her family and friends.

Pam was the beloved daughter of Theresa L. (O’Donnell) Dowd of Stoughton and the late Michael P. Dowd (BPD Ret.).  She was the sister of Carla M. Dowd of Brockton and Lt. Joseph M. Dowd (BFD) and his wife Sheila of W. Roxbury. Pam was the aunt of Jason and Brady Forman and Mickey, Josie and Dickie Dowd and is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins.   

Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, Oct 7 at 10:30AM at St. James Church, Stoughton.  Visiting Hours will be held Thursday in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton from 4-7 PM.  Donations in Pam’s memory may be made to the MSPCA-Angell, 350 South Huntington Ave., Boston, MA 02130.
