Patricia Ann (Winfisky) Fisher

Patricia Ann Winfisky Fisher died peacefully at the Copley at Stoughton on May 8, 2020 at the age of 89. She was a lifelong resident and well-loved townswoman of Stoughton, MA. Pat was born in 1930. Her mother, Domicella Botkus Winfisky (aka Visneuski) and father Felix Joseph Winfisky were 1st generation immigrants from Lithuania. Their family home was on Central Street, West Stoughton and Pat was fond of remembering her mother's gardens, chickens, wild mushrooms, cooking on a wood stove and heating the house and water with wood burners. She told wonderful stories of the thrill of marrying her lifelong sweetheart, James K. Fisher when he returned from his Naval career at the end of WW2. She did maintain however, that moving into a new house on Packard Road with central heat and plumbing was just as thrilling as James. Pat and Jim and their two teen age children moved onto Packard Road after the death of her mother and Pat lived there until she became a resident at the Copley at Stoughton in 2015.

Pat and her children were active in numerous Stoughton activities over the years, which included Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts, and 4-H. She was also a swimming instructor at the Brockton YWCA and various children's summer camps. The family attended the Immaculate Conception Church and the children went to St. Mary's School where Pat volunteered much time. She was a gifted seamstress who travelled to Boston to buy quality materials to make the children's coats, dresses and trousers. Pat had a lovely soprano voice and in later years she sang with the Senior Serenaders of Stoughton. She also belonged to "The Red Hatters" and travelled all over Eastern, MA. And it was a memorable treat for her to go to Italy and Ireland on two separate trips with a local bank's (now Envison) tour group.

She was predeceased, only by a couple days, by her husband, James who died on May 5, 2020 also at the Copley at Stoughton. She leaves 2 children: son Michael E. Fisher and his wife, Natalia M. of San Antonio, TX, grandson, Jason D. Fisher and 2 great granddaughters, Madison and McKenzie of San Antonio, TX and daughter Linda F. Clement and her husband, Edward S. Clement of Thompson, CT. She is also survived by her niece, Rosemarie Winfisky Bazinet and husband, Robert, great nieces, Michelle Butler and Sherilyn Dickerson, and their children, Luke and Jackson Jones and her dear caregiver, Kelley Palma of Stoughton.

Private services and burial will take place in Texas. This fall, there may be a Celebration of Life in Stoughton. Anyone interested in an invite: email linda423@charter.net
