Patricia M. (Bernard) Flanagan, 76, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died peacefully at Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton on Thursday, April 28, 2022 surrounded by her loving family. She was the loving wife of the late Augustine J. "Bud" Flanagan, Jr. Daughter of the late Francis J. and Ruth (McMann) Bernard, she was born in Boston and raised in West Roxbury. She was a resident of Stoughton for 47 years. Patricia was a baker at Roche Bros. Supermarket in both Westwood and Easton for over 30 years before retiring more than 10 years ago. She was a longtime communicant of Immaculate Conception Church in Stoughton. She loved going to Saratoga Race Track twice a year with her family. An avid reader, she also enjoyed baking and playing cards but her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Patricia was the cherished mother of Kevin J. Flanagan and his girlfriend Renee Toomey of Brockton, Daniel M. Flanagan and his wife Kathleen of Upton and Mark J. Flanagan of Attleboro and beloved grandmother of Joseph, Mia and Lucey Flanagan. She was the sister of John "Jack" Bernard of Roslindale, David Bernard of Stoughton and the late Dorothy Ryan and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Wednesday, May 4 at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10 AM. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Canton. Visiting Hours will be held on Tuesday, May 3 from 4-7 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in Patricia's memory may be made to St. Anthony's Free Market, c/o Immaculate Conception Church, 122 Canton Street, Stoughton, MA 02072.
