Patricia A. (Sheehan) Gallagher

Patricia A. (Sheehan) Gallagher, 73 died Tuesday, January 24, 2023 surrounded by her beloved children and grandchildren.  Born in Boston, daughter of the late Albert and Margaret (Curley) Sheehan, she was raised in Dorchester and was a graduate of Cardinal Cushing High School.  In 1974, she married Ralph J. Gallagher and together they raised four daughters and spent 33 years of marriage before his death in 2007.  They moved to Stoughton in 1979 to raise their young family and she later became known as the “Neighborhood Nana” of Second Street. After raising her family, she worked as the Office Manager at Crimmins Insurance in Stoughton for many years, retiring in 2007.  In her free time, Pattie enjoyed watching Jeopardy and spending time with her grandchildren.

Pattie is survived by her four daughters; Erin M. Gallagher and her husband Charles V. Gillis IV, Megan E. Costa and her husband John, Molly A. Cremins and her husband Matthew, Caitlin M. Gallagher and her husband Randy Polillio, all of Stoughton.  In addition to her husband, Ralph, she was predeceased by her daughter Katie Anne Gallagher.  She was the devoted Nana of Gabriel Gillis, Maeve Gillis, John Costa, Owen Cremins, Conor Cremins, Ralph Polillio and Parker Polillio.  She was the sister of Nancy Joyce and her late husband Tom of Dorchester, Kathleen Lydon and her husband Patrick of Norwell and Paul Sheehan and his wife Mary of Milton.  Cherished Aunt and Grandaunt to many loving nieces and nephews, longtime dear friend of Maureen Gibbons and several devoted neighbors, including Paul, Joanne, Andre and Amy.

Visiting Hours will be held in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Monday, January 30, 2023 from 4-7 PM.  A Funeral Mass will be held in St. Brendan’s Church, 589 Gallivan Blvd, Dorchester on Tuesday, Jan. 31 at 10:30 AM.  Burial to follow at Milton Cemetery, Milton.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Pattie’s memory may be made to St Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105
