Paul J. Butler

Paul J. Butler, age 57, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on May 21, 2023. He was the husband to Kathryn (Ross) Butler for 21 loving years. Born in Norwood, he was the son of the late Beverly (Olsen) and Joseph Butler, and was raised in Canton and Middleboro, and was a graduate of Oliver Ames High School. He was the owner and operator of his own business, Butler Concrete and Excavating in Stoughton.  Paul was known as a hard worker his whole life, joining the concrete business and following in his father’s footsteps as a young man. He took pride in his work ethic and was a devoted family man, and enjoyed spending time with his family and his grandchildren. Paul loved vacationing with his loved ones and often said “a stranger is a friend he hadn’t met yet.” He could always be found hanging out at the yard, and was infamously caught saying the phrase “Meet me at the yard,” where he enjoyed much of his time. He was a dear friend to many, and took pleasure in sharing a cold Bud.

In addition to his wife, Paul is survived by his children, Ashley Sexton and her husband Christopher Feeley of Boxford and Ryan Sexton of Randolph. He is also survived by his grandchildren Ryan Bear Feeley and Penny Jean Feeley. He was the brother to Cheryl Isaksen and her husband Einar of Canton, Patty Catoe of AK, Helen Forrest and her husband Paul of Canton, Lynn Butler of Wareham, Mark Butler and his wife Sue of Easton, Beverly Irwin and her husband Gene of FL and Joe Butler and his wife Meg of Canton. He also leaves behind his in-laws, Patti Thomas and her husband Jeff of Easton, and Kenny Ross and his wife Sarah of Rochester, as well as his father’s second wife, Ellie Butler and many nieces and nephews.
