Emblem

Paul E. Pryor, 89, died Saturday, March 14, 2026, at his home in Stoughton, surrounded by the love of his family. Born and raised in South Boston, he attended Boston Schools. Paul then joined the United States Army and loyally served during the Korean War for over three years. After his honorable discharge, he returned home to South Boston and began working as an Ironworker. Paul worked at West End Ironworks for many years and later for General Dynamics at the Quincy Shipyard and retired from Kelly Construction after over 40 years of dedicated service. In 1970, he married Catherine M. Waltman and together they spent over 56 years married and raised their beloved children. He cherished quality time with his family; whether fishing for Stripers in Cape Cod Bay with his son, John, playing dominos with his grandchildren, or summer cookouts with his family. He also loved his dogs Max, Belle, and Pal. Paul enjoyed dancing; you could find him on the dance floor at any function with a line of people waiting to dance with him. A proud Southie native, he was a member of the Irish Independence Club in South Boston.

In addition to his wife, Catherine M. (Waltman) Pryor of Stoughton, he is survived by his children, Catherine A. Kubek and her husband John, and John J. Pryor and his wife Melissa, all of Raynham, Dorothy Pryor of Michigan, Paul Pryor and William Pryor, both of Montana. Paul is survived by several grandchildren, including Catrina and Nikolas Kubek, and Mackenzie, Chloe, and Addison Pryor. He was predeceased by 8 brothers and sisters.
