Pauline A. (Morrill) Naphen, age 87, passed away peacefully at her home on June 6, 2024. She was the loving wife to Robert J. Naphen, Jr. for 66 years. Born in Canton, she was the daughter of Herbert and Mildred Morrill. She was a lifelong resident of Stoughton for more than 80 years, and was a graduate of Stoughton High School, Class of 1955. She worked as a secretary taking care of the bookkeeping at Dooley Transportation, alongside her husband for over 40 years. She always made sure to keep things in order, with a steady hand and dedicated effort. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, and raised her children with much love and care as a homemaker her whole life. She enjoyed taking trips to Bar Harbor, Maine, going shopping – especially for her grandkids – and was an expert with an iron, ensuring everyone’s clothes were nicely folded and ironed.
In addition to her dear husband, Pauline is survived by her children, Robert J. Naphen, III and his wife Linda Richards-Naphen of West Bridgewater, and Debra Glennon and her husband Timothy of Bridgewater. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Renee Comeau and her husband Chuck, Robert J. Naphen, and Ashlee and Kristine Glennon. She also leaves behind her great-grandchildren, Robert “Beau” Naphen, and Robert J. Burke.
Family services will be held privately. Interment will take place at a later date at South Easton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Pauline’s memory may be made to the Melanoma Research & Skin Cancer at Giving.MassGeneral.org
